The book "A Keen Eye" has been out of print and impossible to find.

I'm looking for some books about Highland Cattle for a few weeks and I couldn't find any book in our language or in our country. Well, I accept the fact that there's no avilable book in our libraries so I started do looking for the books in English on e-bay, Amazon ect. I found out that exist the book A keen Eye and i was wery disappointed because it is not avilable in online shops. I will be wery happy if someone will tell me where I can buy this book or if can I get a copy of it.

Yes, "A Keen Eye" is out of print. To find one, you will need to find used being sold somewhere.
Books you can find, I would recommend "West Highland Cattle: The Grand Olde Breed"  by John MacKenzie Anderson, it gives some detailed history of the breed, written in 1986, it has some reprinting of writings from the 1700's . $20 at AHCA

You could also subscribe to the American Highland Cattle Association's "Bagpipe" subscription, it is $30 a year for overseas.

Also "The Highland Breeders Guide" $12 at AHCA of course you can read this online at www.HighlandCattleUSA.org ..... But it is nice to have the book in your hands.

Yes, I agree that it is nice to own a book. I would try in a libraries if they could get the book from libraries from the other countries so I could read it, if it will be possible.

I didn't even know that exists a journal about the breed. I will think about the subscription. Do you know if exist something like that in Europe?

Comfika, what is your native language?  Where in Europe are you located?  Check out HighlandCattleSociety.com - go to the Links page and scroll down to Overseas Breed Societies - I would imagine most of them have some sort of newsletter.  Keep checking EBay.com - that's where I got my copy, I bought it from someone in Australia!  4 other good books on Highland Cattle are "Heather the Highland Cow" by J. Abernethy; "The Wit and Wisdom of Highland Cows" by Ulysses Brave; "The Highland Cow" by Colin Baxter and "Too Early to Think About Hay" by Thomas E. Daschke.  The last one is written by a friend of mine from Pennsylvania.  He self-published it through Blurb.com so I don't know how you would go about finding it.  I will help if anyone is interested.  It has beautiful pen and ink drawings of Highland Cattle done by his daughter.  Anyone else know of other books about Highland Cattle?

My native language is Slovenian (I come from Slovenia). I have been looking for books about Highland Cattle on EBay, Amazon, ect., but orders I made it were unable to be delivered into Slovenia. I want to buy books, but it's impossible to get it into Slovenia. One month ago I ordered a book "A keen eye" from Germany and I made a copy of them. I would like to get other books about Highland Cattle, but I don't know how. I will be wery happy if someone could help me.
