Following the Drovers Trail in Scotland
« on: January 08, 2012, 03:53:24 PM »
There has been a documentary made on Droving Highland Cattle in Scotland. It is to be a series on BBC. No times, not sure if we will be able to see it, but I think if you have cable, check to see if you have a BBC station. I got the info from a posting on the Facebook - Highland Breeders Group.

The posting was: by - http://www.facebook.com/ruaridh.ormiston
"We will soon be appearing on the BBC in a new 1 hr documentary about Cattle Droving with Griff Rhys Jones in a new series called "The Lost Routes of Britain". It follows us on a trip with two Highland Ponies and 4 Highland Cattle from the North end of the Isle of Skye to the sites of the two most famous Cattle Trysts at Crieff and Falkirk. We had great fun doing it and all the cattle behaved really well, settling into their role within 24hrs and always looking to the horses and us for guidnace. I will let you all know when it will be on. The picture is of me explaining something to Griff at Ramasaig on Skye."
